With Invisalign, you can achieve the straight smile you’ve always wanted without traditional fixed braces. Rather than the traditional system of brackets and wires, Invisalign uses a series of transparent “trays”, perfectly moulded to fit your teeth.
This means that during your treatment, nobody will know that you’re using an orthodontic appliance but you. The smooth plastic aligners used in the Invisalign process can also cause less irritation to the mouth than traditional braces.
Also unlike traditional braces, Invisalign aligners can be removed to eat or to brush your teeth.
In the course of Invisalign treatment, most patients will wear between 18 and 36 sets of aligners. Each of these numbered aligners is slightly different, meaning your dentition will be gradually adjusted over the course of your treatment, which can last between 6 and 24 months.
Paired with our iTero Intraoral 3D scanning, Invisalign will provide you with comfortable, discreet appliances.
No more goo with iTero!
With iTero, our patients no longer need to go through the hassle of traditional impressions. iTero allows us to take a precise high-resolution 3D scan of your teeth, bringing dental impressions into the 21st century. You can even receive a copy of your plan including impressions and end result, via email!
Traditional impressions tend to use a material that gradually hardens over time, this can affect the accuracy of your impressions as you may be inclined to move your teeth during this time.
Our cutting edge scanner takes 20 scans of your teeth per second, allowing us to generate incredibly precise models of your current dentition, allowing us to accurately target any problem areas, and make sure you receive perfect fitting orthodontic appliances.
Once you have had a digital impression taken, the resultant scans can be used to produce a perfect set of Invisalign clear braces, as well as showing you the projected result of your treatment.
When it comes to fitting your orthodontic appliances, iTero reduces the adjustment time, due to the increased accuracy throughout the consultation and appliance production process, meaning you spend less time in the chair.
If you think you may be able to benefit from one of our digital scans, please get in touch to discuss possible treatment options.
